Gwen Tauiliili-Langkilde has been a solo practitioner for the past 5 years, with experience in a wide variety of legal matters ranging from estate planning and contract drafting to litigation.
Prior to private practice, Gwen served in American Samoa’s public and semi-public sectors for 17 years. She worked in various offices of the American Samoa Government, serving as an Assistant Attorney General, specializing in contracts, leases, and labor law, and Assistant Legal Counsel to the Governor from 1996 - 2000.
From 2002 through 2013, she served as in-house legal counsel to semi-public utility companies, the American Samoa Telecommunications Authority and the American Samoa Power Authority.
From 2006 to 2014, Gwen also served as legal counsel to the American Samoa Election Office, assisting the Office in its application of federal and local election laws and representing the Office in election litigation.
Gwen served as the President of the American Samoa Bar Association (ASBA) in 2003 and has served as a member of the ASBA’s Admissions Committee and the Feleti Barstow Public Library’s Board of Directors since 2004.
Gwen is licensed to practice in both Hawaii and American Samoa.
